What it's for

Four thousand PSI with heat behind it. This is the machine that turns down the fewest jobs, which is why it is the most common first hot water purchase for a contractor who has outgrown cold water work.

Heat matters more than most people expect. Grease, oil, protein, and road film all release at temperature in a way they simply do not when cold — you can stand there at 4,000 PSI cold and burnish a surface without cleaning it. Once you have run a hot machine on an equipment yard or a restaurant pad you stop arguing about this.

At 5.5 GPM it will drive a 24-inch surface cleaner comfortably. If your work is mostly large flatwork, look at the 8.5 GPM unit instead — you will cover ground faster.
